I graduated in Biology (2011) and completed my MSc degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution (2014) by the Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. My main research interest focus on the use of Genomics and Epigenomics, alongside Bioinformatic tools to address questions related to rapid adaptation. During my PhD, I aim to understand the role of Epigenomic mechanisms, mainly DNA methylation, in aiding species adaptation to rising temperatures and other ecological changes associated with climate change.
