I’ve started my scientific career during the bachelor’s degree in Biology at the Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto, where I did my academic internship in CIBIO/InBIO studying the predator-prey behaviour of the Iberian Lynx (Lynx pardinus) and the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus), using camera-traps in southern Portugal. In 2019, I finished my M.Sc. degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution in the same institutions, where I develop the final dissertation in BIODESERTS research group, where I addressed landscape connectivity as a core strategy for biodiversity conservation in arid regions. During this period, I did a 2-month internship in Centre Tecnològic Forestal de Catalunya, Spain applying methodologies in conservation planning on wetlands in arid regions. My main research interests are biogeography, climate change and ecology and my ultimate goal is to contribute directly to biodiversity conservation.
