I hold a BSc in Molecular Biology and Physiology, and MSc in Neurobiology from the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, Serbia. However, the desire to work in the visible and touchable world drew me out of the neuroscience lab and brought me into the field lab. I joined the herpetological team and I started working on the phenomenon of the stress response in free-ranging dice snakes. I was involved in projects dealing with population ecology, ecophysiology, ethology and conservation of reptiles in Serbia and North Macedonia.

My main field of interest is studying the factors tailoring the evolution of snake venoms. My PhD project is focused on studying the diversification of Vipera ammodytes venom composition at a local and regional scale across the Balkan Peninsula, as well as on predicting the future range dynamics of this species. I am also part of the conservation project for the highly endangered meadow viper in Serbia.
